GLOBE is an international environmental education project for children. they collect information about their local environment and share it with the world via the database one the Internet. To date 104 countries are involved in GLOBE and over 400 UK schools, clubs and centres. The data collected by GLOBE students is used by environmental scientists in their research so the children must follow a strict set of scientific protocols to maintain the validity of the data.You can find out more about the GLOBE Programme at www.globe.org.uk.
